Any NASCAR Fans out there? I’ve got some Microsoft Power View Analytics for you.
Here is the next Microsoft SQL 2012 Power View example we are doing that is in the theme of NASCAR! Yeah, go figure, we did analytics for NASCAR.
Actually, it is a pretty amazing looking SharePoint 2010 portal with Power View analytics enabling Twitter along with Team and Driver Analytics. Check out the screenshots below. Looks great!
Yes these are REAL solutions built with Microsoft business intelligence technologies with the Extended Results highly branding UI/UX touches. We easily refresh the data in our PowerPivot model hosted in Excel and Excel Services in SharePoint. It is scheduled for refresh in SharePoint weekly and then all that data is available live within the SQL 2012 Power View reports. Pretty slick.
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!!!
Enjoy,
Patrick

My team of SQL Server 2012 Power View experts just cranked out another amazing demonstration for an up and coming baseball game that Microsoft is sponsoring between New York and Boston. Microsoft came to us and said we really need to dress up SharePoint 2010 in a baseball theme along with some amazing statistical insights done in just one week.
Well, we all know there is really only one company to go to for this kind of work. Extended Results! ![]()

You can drill down into the Player Leader board and we embedded a Power View report within our SharePoint page. It doesn’t get any better than this.
But it does! You can then play a player earnings over time using the animated bubble chart. Cool!
Oh, then you can drill down into the player statistics and really geek out about golf.

This week, Microsoft hosted their CIO Summit in Redmond Washington. They invited some of the largest corporations in the U.S. to two days of sessions and dining. Extended Results was asked to attend and showcase our PUSHBI mobile business intelligence solution (www.pushbi.com), Report Catalog (www.reportcatalog.com) and our Power Pivot work in the exhibit area. Always enjoy being the showcased BI Partner.
More Microsoft Power View Examples by Extended Results
The advanced analytics team at Extended Results has really taken off using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Power View (that was a mouth full). Just look at some of the great looking reports that they have already developed. I really like the design feature where the reports look like a piece of paper and the color pallet is soft but allows your eyes to adjust to the report quickly and find outliers. If you look at the middle report, all the bar charts on one report is quickly mastered from development because a lot of companies like that kind of style of report

SQL Power View powering my Google Adwords and BING Adcenter Insights
We are having a lot of fun with the new Microsoft SQL Server 2012 technologies. We have been using Excel with PowerPivot to grab data from my Google AdWords and BING AdCenter accounts and combine them into one data source. Now I can compare the effectiveness of my online advertising which I have never been able to do before without a lot of effort. It has given me some great insights where I have been successful and not successful in my online advertising efforts.
More to come, enjoy the pictures.
