We were just called “Data Artists” – Love That!

We work pretty closely with Microsoft on many levels from building BI solutions for insights into advertising business, helping their customers deploy Microsoft BI, to developing and promoting solutions for Windows 8 with PushBI. One of our favorite Microsoft employees, Marty Ramos, asked us to dial it up a notch and give him something he has never seen before.

Marty asked us to build out a 12 TV touch experience for his Retail Experience Center. This wall of TVs includes 12 – 46 inch TVs. Crazy, but we love a challenge.

This is a REALLY LARGE DISPLAY application that allows a C-level person to explore worldwide KPIs with just a touch or click. The system is built upon our PushBI/Insights platform that identifies who you are and provides the right level of metrics – meaning filtering – in a worldwide perspective.

  1. On the far left, you can touch the tiles and pick layers of data to be laid over the map while looking at your metrics.
  2. On the bottom are the types of metrics that can be overlaid on the map. Sales, Revenue, Costs, etc.
  3. To the right are detailed metrics along with business social pulled in for instant updates on why that metric is RED.
  4. The large dials in the middle identify the leads for those locations, pertinent metrics for that location, etc.

After we previewed our ideas to Marty, he now relates and describes us to his customers as “Data Artists”. I really love that. Thanks Marty!

If you are tired of looking at plain report after plain report, give us a call. Only Extended Results can give you a new perspective into your business that will help you make better decisions faster and cheaper, so you can get back to work.

Enjoy, Patrick
